Use the following steps to get 8950 AAA or VitalAAA installed on your system.
The current name of the Radius/Diameter product is 8950 AAA. The previous version name was VitalAAA. Select the product below that you have purchased. If you want to get an evaluation copy, choose the 8950 AAA product.

Check to make sure that the operating system is a currently supported platform.
Before you can install 8950 AAA, the Sun Java Virtual Machine must be installed on your system. This is typically called the Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) version 6.0 (also known as version 1.6.0). Both the J2SE JDK and the JRE are supported. If you do not have Version 6.0 (or later) of Java, follow the link below to obtain a copy:
In 2005, the United States government passed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This act changes the start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) as of spring 2007. DST will start on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. In 2007, the start and stop dates will be March 11 and November 4, respectively.
Several other countries are making similar changes. In addition, other countries are still evaluating whether they will adopt the new rules for themselves. You should anticipate more changes in DST and time zone rules for countries that typically align with U.S. DST rules.
The changes to DST may impact 8950 AAA. For those impacted, you may need to update your operating system and version of Java.

In order to run 8950 AAA you need a valid server license. There are two ways to get a server license: Purchase 8950 AAA and register your license or request an evaluation license.
Permanent License Evaluation License
If you have purchased 8950 AAA, you should have received a license file from your Alcatel-Lucent Account Rep. If so, continue to step 6. Otherwise, contact your Account Rep directly.
If you would like to try a fully functional copy of 8950 AAA for 30 days, click on Request Evaluation License. Once you fill out the Evaluation Request form your license will be sent to your e-mail address.

Below are the current builds available for download. If you have a version of NavisRadius or VitalAAA, you will need to purchase a new license to use version 6.x.
Both the zip and tar versions of the software are identical and will run on all supported platforms. Pick the version that will be easiest for you to download and unpack on your system. All versions now include a bundled Java Database.
