PolicyFlow™ Installation and Options

When you first run the SMT, the PolicyFlow Installation message displays where you can choose between three PolicyFlow installation options.

If you choose not to install a PolicyFlow during NR installation or decide later to do so, you can at any time from the SMT Preferences panel.

NavisRadius has three installation options to help you make the best use of the software:

• PolicyAssistant
  A predefined PolicyFlow and data file structure with a custom Graphical User Interface (GUI) designed to solve the most common AAA problems without having to write a single PolicyFlow method.

• Selecting Install PolicyAssistant installs a predefined PolicyFlow that supports user lookups using LDAP, User Files, JDBC, and Proxy with Authentication NT or UNIX system calls, local passwords, multiple auth types, or SecurId. It also includes a simple easy-to-use form for adding or removing realms.

• Configuration Sets These are combinations of a PolicyFlow (Authentication and Accounting methods) and files that illustrate specific NavisRadius applications: Token card support, proxy by realm, etc.

• This option installs working examples of PolicyFlows that demonstrate specific tasks. These are basic configurations, designed to illustrate a specific application, and can be edited to suit your needs.

• Build Your Own PolicyFlow
  This option sets up all the files with minimal methods designed to let you start NavisRadius in a Reject-All mode.

• If you have existing user files and or PolicyFlows that you do not wish to delete, click Cancel.
• Clicking OK overwrites any existing PolicyFlows and saves your current files to *.bak files.
• Backup files can only be restored from the system prompt and may be overwritten the next time any data is saved. DO NOT rely on these files for archival purposes.
